How could you say such a thing about the greatest Minecraft fork in existence?

It's easily my ideal way of playing Minecraft. It's been so long since I've played modern I genuinely don't even know what version number we're on or what's been added since like, the warden.

The fact BTA is still getting massive updates after all these years is kind of bewildering to me given the sheer scope of the mod, I feel like I shouldn't be allowed to play this for free!

Just out of curiosity, what kind of mods do y’all like playing that BTA is missing? Just content mods or like specifically QoL, automation, etc.?
Content mods for sure, especially concerning magic and monsters and dungeons and the like. I wonder if classic Mine and Slash would work nicely..?

Something like GUI additions' hotbar indicator would be fairly useful for knowing what hotbar you're using. Maybe something like the cupboards mod since I like having vertical storage. Crates from QBTA are also cool if you wanna store a lot of one thing. Would also like the additional mob drop storage blocks from mods like Bonus Blocks and DEEP since I have WAYYYY too many mob drops from my mob farm.

OH also definitely the steel bows and fishing rods from DEEP with their crude steel recipes and high durability. Maybe the diving helmet from DEEP as well but I don't know if it should be implemented the same way I did it where it gives you infinite air. I do like it being humid labyrinth loot though.

I might be tooting my own horn a bit here.
I do wish controller support was less jank, code and UX wise. Stuff like using a locator pattern and a command pattern for input to abstract out the game having to know that you're using a controller in the first place. (come on, I should be able to use a cash register or a donkey kong bongo set to play bta!) UI widgets also aren't terrible intelligent about controllers but i really wouldn't want to begin to untangle that. It's really fun to think about this type of thing, but i suppose bta isn't going to have a mobile port anytime soon or whatever lmfao.

honestly I think something like any tech beyond what's in BTA already is edging a line of Overused Content Idea slop. I just want to see more explorable, unique content like from the one that adds the Aether to BTA, since I love the feeling of exploring a place I've no idea what I can find in it. hell, an update aquatic-styled mod that took mild inspiration from Subnautica (minus the horror aspects, maybe :wolfblock: ) would make me lose my shit for WEEKS, if not longer

the edit was for misformatting the end italics
