Right now BTA lacks any easily automatable furnace fuel and I think that if Baked Sugarcane could be used as fuel (About 16 items would be a good value for it) it would fill the same niche as Dried Kelp Blocks in modern Minecraft while still being distinct. It would be trivial to implement and could a lot add to the game.

You can already automate lava bucket production, I think if this was added id never use any other fuel.
