There is no reason in my opinion that you shouldnt be able to also sleep during the day to skip to night.

There would be several advantages with this:
1: You could change it to be night time so you can fight mobs easily, without needing to make a farm.
2: You could progress days much faster, making waiting for seasons much less annoying.
3: You could change it to be night, so you can see where your base doesnt have proper lighting, for when you are mob proofing an area.

The feature also makes sense when applied to real life, when someone has to do something during the night, such as a night-shift job, they sleep during the day time, I dont see any disadvantages to this being an option for the player, it would just remove some friction from certain activities, and reduce reliance on mob grinders.

I think this would be a good feature as long as there is a cooldown of maybe half a day? Only so player can't sleep through an entire year

I think that I think the cooldown should only kick in if you sleep like 2 days forwards at least, but i dont think that being able to do this is specifically a bad thing anyway, being able to sleep, hunt a mob for like 5 minutes, then make it day time would only make gameplay better!

maybe instead of a cool down, you could only sleep once you've past morning time. so around noon-afternoon is when you'd be able to sleep again and skip to night. I don't like the idea of some arbitrary cool down telling me what I can and can't do. Or having to wait on the timer.
For the text, you could do something like "It's too early to sleep, try later in the day", or something similar. as long as the idea that you have to wait until it's past the morning
