The idea of the challenge is pretty simple. It's boat murdered.

The following is a save file of BTA, it is on hardcore.
The rules are:
1. Upon surviving 40 days a backup of the world must be made and handed over to the next person.
2. Failing to survive to 40 days either by not playing or by dying means nullification of the run. The next person starts with the same save as you did.
3. You must catalogue the changes you made in a journal format.
4. The save file is to be played on the latest nightly.

Now that i finally have some time to myself I've decided that I may take archives of my adventures in this strange land.
It's been some time so my memory is foggy, I apologize in advance to whomever civilized people find my decomposing carcass and log book in this forsaken archipelago.

It all started at a beach where i woke up confused and without memory of the previous night. After some initial exchange of "damn"s and "fuck"s to the sky night begun to approach so i built shelter. A simple log cabin where i hid all night due to the seemingly common appearance of the undead, terrorist plants, and Australian wildlife. It was quite a long night.

When morning arrived and i finally could leave that shack, I did. I walked for about 5 kilometres or so upon reaching another beach, a frozen one. Since i was tired I decided to build a igloo and set up shop there. I got a little carried away and accidentally built a two story igloo with a cosy fireplace.

The following days were spent surveying the land, trying to find any signs of civilization... of which there were none. I decided that, since I was off-coast somewhere, I should start erecting a lighthouse.

As such, I now find myself sulking in my cold igloo waiting for summer.

I think the solution would be to announce that you intend to participate and wait in line for the person before you to finish and send the file or something like that

And I want to participate too... I suppose the queue goes as follows?:

Khep, it may be a good idea to update your post every now and then with the queue order. That way there's no room for misunderstanding in the event this gets big.

Is sleeping on the table? If so, then each run should be around 7 hours if you sleep every night (and if the average day is 10.5 minutes as it is in modern).

Anyway, excited to make some redstone utilities once I get a turn.

Yeah, that sounds good. I'm going to update it as according to cat block's list.

I feel like I'm going to say yes, because 40 days is quite long! But it depends on how each person wants to play it and we shouldn't really press them for this stupid challenge lol. It's just fun and games.

Makes sense to me 7 hours seems a good balance between having a meaningfully long (and challenging) duration and being able to be done over the course of several days.

That sounds fun I would like to give it a shot as well!

Oh right, i know about that bug. I had to write a mixin to fix it for the aether.

Guess what happen to me the moment i enter The Nether?

a) I was completely disintegrated by an army of ghasts
b) i trapped myself in the Nether because im stupid
c) I found myself into the middle of nowhere, surrounded by an empty void

If its all 3.. gulp

If not a) and you're still kicking, might be able to relight the portal with a ghast fireball striking wood next to the portal frame. If not b) and you have iron or steel, gravel (and so flint) can be found occasionally mixed in with soul sand deposits.

HOW THE HECK I KEEP APPEARING IN FREAKING BIG EMPTY HOLES???

So 1 block in the overworld is like 3 in the nether,so my plan is make a BIG FRICKING BRIDGE from THE FRICK I AM to any direccion and see if i could find land or something.

(Also thanks for answering, now i known what to do if i trapped myself in the nether )

It just sounds like a very interesting collaborative challenge!

Oh, I forgot to mention, but you are supposed to expand the adventurer's log with your own entries if you survive your run.
