I know that we can't suggest any splash text additions, but this is about translating them, not suggesting extra text!

Generally recommend 17 because it’s tested and has never failed me. In theory versions above 17 should be backwards compatible but I have personally encountered random issues using newer versions and it’s not guaranteed it will work for everyone, even if it works for you.

Java 17 or 25 for BTA 8.0?

Launching BTA with Java 25 works (client and/or server), though I'm not exactly sure if there is any benefit.

Would it cause any trouble? And if there is no benefit would it make more sense to just go with recommended Java 17?
