Controller inverted y-axis

So, i started playing BTA and i really wanted to play it with a controller and the "Better Than Legacy" mod. But i ran into an issue. I am one of the few people that play with inverted Y-axis on a controller and whenever i tried playing without I just can't do it. There is no such option in the settings and adding this to the options.txt

"invertYController:true"

changes nothing, it gets deleted. Using Steam or any other 3rd party software to invert the Y-axis inverts it in the menu as well, which isn't enjoyable either. And so, my question is if there is any way to add inverted y-axis toggle a mod, a line of code, anything that makes it work as it should.
