Automatic Sheep Wool Collecting Machine

Post by Szymkim2134 »

This, is a: "Automatic Sheep Wool Collecting Machine". [For: 7.3_04]

Here's the link to All Images, because there's a lot of them from a lot of Angles so you can Replicate this Build Easily: https://imgur.com/a/aEh0RsA.
Please ignore the Lever that's on this Front image - It wasn't working anyway.
Also, i recommend switching Both Repeaters to their last settings, because that can help with Proper Synchronization [Especially on Multiplayer, Plus this can help with the Sheep not getting stuck between the Pistons].

You build it, Get the Sheep into it [Remember that Sheep will follow you if you hold Any flower in hand], and fill the lower Activator with Bonemeal, and the Higher Activator with Shears [Recommend the Steel Shears because they last for a good while].
Also, DO NOT use Glass Trapdoors as a Front Wall for this - This can sometimes somehow lead to the Sheep escaping it's Cage.

Yes, this Design requires steady Supply of Bonemeal to work [So, a Mob Grinder, or a Skeleton Mob Farm is recommended beforehand]. It could probably work if you somehow manage to have the Dirt be always connected with Grass all the time, but it would be slower. With bonemeal it just produces Wool a lot faster.
And yes, this Design is Based on one that i saw on the Discord server. I just modified it a little to suit my needs.
Also please remember to put a Label into Sheeps before you put them into this Cage - Otherwise they might just despawn.
You can turn Off the Machine, by destroying the block that's glued into Piston. Then, you can turn it back On by glueing the block back into Piston [i highly recommend having this Block be a Wool colored to the same Color as Sheep, You can also build this Machine using Colored Wool].

IF this Machine doesn't detect the Sheep after you put it into the cage [in a, for example, a Situation where you put the Sheep that wasn't sheared], then You have to shear the Sheep manually, before the Machine detects it and starts doing the automation [Orr just Turn off and On, it might detect it that way too, but not always, and even sometimes it can lead to the Sheep getting stuck between the Steel Pistons].
Sometimes it might not always collect Dropped Wool - That's why there are Two Pistons, so that the Second Piston can push the Wool into Basket.

Also, Protip: Don't Spam this a Lot with Lots of Sheep in one Chunk - This could lead to MASSIVE Lags of the Server. 6 Sheep [where 2 each have a Different Color] Machines on one Floor in one Chunk is Good enough for Performance.

I’m really glad that despite the words Automatic, Machine and Sheep, this post is innocent :cracktivator:

Well... Technically? The Sheep here are pushed by Two Pistons... STRONG Pistons... So, you know. :active_troll:
