Empty redstone forum

The redstone forum is awfully empty… the rest of the forum has decent usage, but not the redstone forum.

I would post there, but I think the issue is that it’s hard to share what you’ve made due to there not being schematics. Either you’d have to make a world with a contraption in mind (usually not how the process of invention happens) or upload your entire redstone world (which may be too personal or over 2mb) or post a video/photos.

It’s a great forum to have, it’s just hard to use.

The way I do these is I have a general testing world where I come up with and try out new ideas and individual small-scale contraptions, and when I think it's ready to do so I create a new world to turn them into an ready-to-use design; for more trivial stuffs I think screenshots or videos (as an unlisted youtube video, for example) are good enough.

Even in modern version, I generally prefer distributing/using world downloads over schematics because they tends to be more reliable. Schematics are good for moving stuffs around and across worlds tho, so I'd definitely love to have such system in BTA!

I think I’ll have to start uploading some of my older builds once this comes out/is finished up.
