Moss Converter

Post by TinyGwen »

I've created a contraption that automatically converts blocks to their mossy counterparts. Just fill with bonemeal, and the blocks you want to convert :D
  • Works on any moss spreadable block (currently oak logs, cobblestone, and polished stone bricks in stable. I believe more blocks can be mossy in the preview releases.)
  • Moss spreading only has an ~2/3 chance of spreading to an adjacent block horizontally, so ~1/3 of the blocks in the output unfortunately won't be converted.
Moss spreading is never guarenteed, as far as i can tell, ~2/3 is the best conversion rate you can expect from bonemealing. We could bonemeal multiple times for speed, but you'd get less value. I chose to prioritize bonemeal usage since rates will never reach 100% and throwing more bonemeal is less efficient than just bringing a new batch of blocks in and bonemealing those.
  • You can expect ~4 moss blocks for every 1 bonemeal used
  • Important note: This machine is directional. the beginning of the blue, red, and (i think) green lines must face east/west. Though you can switch these out for any one tick pulse generators.
World download included in the zip. Just unzip it to your /saves folder in your BTA instance :3
