Fan Blocks

Fan blocks would be controlled by redstone; the higher the power, the further things could go. Fans could push Players, mobs, and loose items. A fan at max redstone power (15) would push players and mobs 15 blocks; loose items would go twice as far. You can place it in any direction. Items, when they're in a fan's range, would not be affected by gravity; this would not apply to mobs or players. The fans could be crafted with 4 stone (any type) in the sides and bottom corners, 3 gold, 2 in the top corners, 1 in the center, and 1 redstone in the bottom. These fans could be used in several ways; you could use them as an elevator in your house, or they could be used to pipe items and mobs from A to B. The loose items not being affected by gravity while in a fan's range could lead to cool builds with items on their way somewhere while floating overhead through a hallway.
